Treasure Valley is the name of the scout reservation that we stay at for the overnight. It has several nice cabins that we stay in, and the lake is usually frozen by this point in the year, so it’s a great spot for a winter campout. Troop 1775 arrives Friday night to set up camp, and then we welcome the AOLs and their parents on Saturday for a fun day of activities (usually including launching model rockets, ice fishing, and of course a campfire). The AOLs and their parents get to spend the night in the cabins and then we all head home Sunday morning. Our Troop provides all the food and does all the cooking for the trip, so it’s a very enjoyable experience for both the AOLs and their parents! 🙂 So we would love to have as many of your AOLs and parents come as possible- it’s a good opportunity for both AOLs and parents to see what scouting is like at the next level.
