The pack gathered to “view the heavens” at New England SciTech.  We were able to see the moon, some planets, and a number of stars.  Our friend Bob did a great job putting the vastness of space and planets into perspective for the kids to appreciate:  moon-sized ping pong balls with softball-sized Earth, and how far they need to be spaced apart to be at scale. The kids really enjoyed “sizing the solar system” along the hallway, and the added treat of touching a meteor and moon rock!
