Cubmaster's Corner
In this Centennial Anniversary Year, it is worth remembering how different Scouting is from all the other things that demand time from us in this busy world. From work to school, to multiple sports, to the endless barrage of hollow media, it is a very different experience.
Scouting
connects our sons to the physical world and teaches them how exciting
and fun the outdoors can be. It teaches them to respect our environment.
Finally, it focuses on the development of character and a moral compass
that can only come from caring involved parents who are the first and
most important role models for our children. For this
reason, I would like to thank the leadership committee and all the
parents of our 64 scouts who volunteer their time to make the scouting
experience rewarding and fun for our boys.
Responsibility, Citizenship, Respect, Faith in God, Compassion,
Cooperation, Honesty, Courage, Healthy Living, Resourcefulness, Positive
Attitude and Perseverance. The 12 Core Values of Cub Scouting
underpin a 100 year old tradition of effective leadership training pure
and simple. In a world where effective honest leaders are in
short supply, our Natick Pack 310 Scouts provide hope for the
future. Let's have a great year.
Cubmaster, Jim Fini
